With our funding, Good Gym will relaunch and expand its intergenerational befriending programme.

What we’re funding: Our funding will enable Good Gym to relaunch and expand its befriending programme. Volunteers are matched with an older coach who motivates them to engage in local community organisations. A wide network of referral partners will allow Good Gym to work collaboratively at scale. They are aiming to grow their network to reach 50 new areas by the end of the project.

Why we’re funding: Good Gym has developed an exciting, scalable, and cost-effective intergenerational model. It’s an uncommon model and based on an understanding of the mutual benefits of spending time with people from a different generation.
